Pre-COVID Shipping FAQ
How long before my order is shipped?
It takes 1-3 business days to prepare your order before shipping. This may vary based on if your order contains mostly pre-cuts, or if it has lots of fabric cuts. During our EPIC Sales and FREE Shipping Weekends, it may take up to 14 business days before your order is shipped, due to the high volume of cuts and orders.
If you order a full bolt of fabric or a full roll of batting, your order might ship directly from our distributor. If you have other items on your order, they may come separately. Full rolls and bolts may be delayed 4-6 weeks if inventory is unavailable. We will do our best to contact and update you on the ETA.
How is my package shipped within Canada?
All orders are shipped via Canada Post Expedited, Purolator, Canpar or FedEx, arrive in 2-7 business days, and come with tracking and insurance.
Small orders under 500g and 2cm in height are shipped via Canada Post Lettermail and have no tracking or insurance.
Replacement Orders for incorrect or missing items may be shipped via Canada Post Lettermail at our discretion.
I live in the Maritimes, Territories or have a P.O. Box. Will I have to pay more for shipping?
For the most part, you should receive the same shipping rates as the rest of Canada. Unfortunately, very large packages (i.e. orders exceeding 6kg) or oversized items (rolls of batting, several bolts of fabric, tuffets kits) can lead to exponentially higher shipping costs. If that is the case, we will contact you and ask if you'd like to proceed, and offer you a reduced shipping rate. (We pay the first $20 of any additional charges, or up to $60 for rolls of batting.)
My pre-order is late. Why?
Sometimes fabric manufacturers and distributors experience delays in shipping new collections to stores. This can happen for many reasons beyond our control (overselling on their end, late deliveries from overseas, defects, shipping issues, and more.) We try the best we can to ensure our fabric meets the expected delivery dates we provide on our site, but every now and then, delays may occur. If this happens, we try our best to contact everyone with pre-orders to advise them of the delays and advise of the new estimated times our manufacturers and distributors have advised us with.
I have multiple pre-orders, when will they ship?
Pre-ordering is better than ever! If you have a pre-order with both in-stock items and pre-order items, we ship your in-stock items right away, and your pre-order items when they are available at no extra shipping cost.
Shipping Exception Policy
*During COVID-19 lockdown measures, reduced staff, and a massive increase in online orders being placed, we have changed our policy "up to 10 days for orders with pre-cuts and notions only, and up to 22 days for orders with fabric-cuts". Thank you for understanding.
If you change your mind on what you ordered, we will refund you up to 30 days after your purchase. The product must be in new condition, smoke-free, and contain no pet hair or other flaws. Once we receive and inspect your return, your refund will be issued. Please note this does not include items marked as "No refunds on this item. Final sale only." We charge a 20% cancellation fee on ALL returns. Due to being oversized and the extreme cost of shipping rolls of batting, all batting roll sales are final. Full bolts of fabric sales are also final (i.e. Kona, Bella, Colorworks, Grunge, Essex, Interfacing, etc.)
Due to COVID-19, additional items (such as mask templates, mask panels, elastic, full bolts of fabric, batting, and more) may be marked on the product page as "No refunds on this item. Final sale only." Please be aware of this before you make your purchase.
Our company is also charged a cancellation fee on full bolts of batting, fabric, and interfacing from our suppliers due to cancellations on special order items like full bolts and rolls. When a customer cancels an order with us, we must also pay high cancellation fees. We also lose all transaction fees from Shopify and PayPal, which keep these fees on all cancellations. On top of that, due to the large volume of orders we are placing, refunds like this mean we end up with a disproportionate amount of stock which can negatively affect our business. We hope you understand.

If you received an item in error, please contact us and we will send you a pre-paid shipping label so you can return it to us easily. We will ship you out the correct item as soon as possible, and we pay for shipping on any mistakes we make.

If you change your mind and no longer want your pre-order items, please notify us right away. If your pre-order hasn't shipped yet, we will refund the full amount of your order, or ask if you would like an equal substitute. Refunds may take up to 7 business days to appear on your statement.
Rewards Program Points for Signing Up
Due to fraudulent orders, only one gift card per customer, per household, per customer name can be used on a single order from gift cards earned from signing up to our rewards program. You may only use gift cards you have earned yourself, or have received as a gift from an order where the gift card was paid for with real money. Orders will be canceled automatically if this happens.
We reserve the right to cancel or refund any orders where pricing is incorrectly set on our website. We will notify you if this happens before proceeding. If a pricing error occurs, we will either refund you the difference (overcharge) or send you an invoice for the difference (undercharge).
We will match any advertised price on our store in the event we have a sale on the exact same item. This does not include if the item is bundled. We do not price match other stores, due to a variety of factors, including our rewards program and other perks. If our price falls on the same item within 30 days of purchase, please contact us, and we will issue you a gift card for the difference.
We do not share your email address or personal information. However, this information may be used by our third-party software to provide you with a better shopping experience, including previously viewed items, wish lists, Facebook advertising, Google advertising, and abandon cart emails. This information is stored in the form of cookies on your computer or device. If you would like to opt-out of cookies, or if you would like to delete all your data, please contact us and we will do so immediately. U.S and International Pricing
If you are a U.S. or International customer and use the currency conversion feature on our website to show your native currency adjusted pricing, the price on our website may vary slightly from what might appear on your credit card or PayPal statement after your order is placed.
Our website charges in CAD, as we are a Canadian company. The currency converter we use has the most up to date currency rates, however, there may be a slight difference billed to you as rates can change quickly.
Please be advised, if you are using a U.S. or International credit card, you may be charged a Foreign Exchange fee for the currency conversion. Please consult your credit card plan to find out how much this may be, as it can vary. Typically, these fees are around 2.5%. Some cards offer free Foreign Exchange conversions, which might be worth looking into if you do a lot of Canadian purchasing.
