Hiya! Iām Michelle, and Iām a serial crafter. Seriously, Iāll make anything. If I can spend $90 on craft supplies and several hours to make something I could buy for $20, Iāll do it. Create-a-holic, thatās me! The only support groups Iāve found so far are enablers. Wonderful, talented, enablers ;)

Since Iāll pretty much make anything at any time, Alicia asked me to share fun stuff with you every week!Ā Follow along on my crafty adventures and tag us on InstagramĀ if youāre up to the same things. Heck,Ā tag me on IGĀ if you have ideas or things youād like to see!
Sometimes I like to be a little bit āextraā with my sewing, and I use a fun trick called fussy cutting.Ā
Fussy cutting is when you select a particularly delicious bit of a fabric print to cut out and use for a special spot in your project.Ā
Sometimes it gets gory- you have to cut out the middle of a piece to get the print exactly where you want it. It can be a fabric waster but the results are always worth it!
This cute coin purse I made uses fussy cutting- hereās what I had to do to the fabric to get what I wanted from the print. It hurt me a little bit on the inside but I survived!
This Cotton + Steel print got the fussy treatment in a block for my molehills quilt - itās a delightful little surprise that I love!
The zipper tab on this Wonderland retreat bag has a perfect little upside-down Cheshire Cat with a kooky grin.
So bust out some fun fabric and get to fussy-cutting! I bet you have the perfect thing waiting in your stash.Ā
Happy sewing, friends! Until next time, makers! :)
