Celebrate Canada's 150th

Have you seen With Glowing Hearts? It's quite possibly the best looking Canadian fabric we've seen yet. It celebrates the big one for our country.. Canada's 150th birthday is next year!

The Canadian Flag as we know it now was quite controversial when it was proposed. Here's a great video by the National showing the struggle it took!

Trend-Tex Fabrics asked Grace Noel (a Canadian designer) to come up with a great new collection highlighting some special and iconic things we love about Canada.

The fabric is being manufactured by Moda Fabrics, so you know the quality is top notch. It's also a lot more modern and contemporary looking than most Canadian collections, which we absolutely love.

We are receiving the full collection in November, and are taking pre-orders so you can reserve the With Glowing Hearts yardage and precuts you want today.

Rules:

• Two Quilt Categories, LARGE and SMALL
• LARGE must be min. 240" max. 360" perimeter
• SMALL must be min 100" max 160" perimeter
• Must have a minimum of 6 fabrics from the With Glowing Hearts Collection and must contain only Glowing Hearts fabric and coordinating Bella Solids. The coordinating Bella Solids are Christmas Red, Aqua, Black, Porcelain and Silver.
• Embellishments and threads will be accepted.
• Projects must be clearly labeled on back and include name of artist and date completed.
• Projects should have a hanging sleeve or tabs for display purposes
• Quilts must be submitted to participating shops by JULY 31, 2017. Dinkydoo will be a participating shop, so email us today for more info at contact@dinkydoo.com

Prizes:

• Quilts will be judged by the Moda Fabrics Design Team.
• LARGE Projects: 1st Place $750, 2nd Place $500, 3rd Place $250
• SMALL Projects: 1st Place $300, 2nd Place $200, 3rd Place $100

The first place winning projects from each category will be displayed by Moda at the International Fall Quilt Market 2017. Winners will receive a photo of the display with Mark Dunn, the owner of Moda.
