I use this to pick solid colours that will co-ordinate with prints I’m working with. It’s especially useful when choosing greens/browns as these are notorious for changing depending on the light source. It’s also good for suggesting colours I may not have considered. Lastly, I just like being prepared so that my accidents are more likely to be happy ones rather than the other kind.

The chart takes the guess work out of buying solids online. The computer monitor will always distort the colour from what it is in real life. This makes it so much easier to choose the right colour for your projects. And it doubles as a really cool wall hanging panel. I have noticed that the orange/yellows are slightly off from the panel vs what I ordered irl but it was maybe just two or three squares, nothing to be worried about though.
